Live jazz, mimosa flights, and gumbo — north up 620.
Lakeway is a beautiful place to live, but the dinner rotation can get short. For something different, Mouton's is about 30 minutes north on 620 — Cajun and Creole cooked the way it's done in Louisiana, in a proper bistro room. Chef Ben Mouton trained in New Orleans and has been here since 2012.
Most of our Lakeway regulars come in for Sunday jazz brunch — live trio, mimosa flights, eggs Rachel — or for a Saturday crawfish boil on the patio in season. A real outing without driving all the way into Austin.
From Lakeway proper or Lake Travis: 620 north, all the way through Steiner Ranch, around past Anderson Mill — exit onto 1431 east, then north on Lakeline. ~30 minutes.
From Bee Cave or the Hill Country Galleria: 71 east to MoPac, north to 1431, west to Lakeline — about 35 minutes.
From Spicewood: 71 east to 620, then north — about 40 minutes.
Free parking. Open daily. Reservations strongly recommended for Sunday brunch — the dining room and bar fill up.
