The closest real South Louisiana kitchen — straight east on 1431.
Liberty Hill is growing fast — restaurants are catching up, but not for Cajun. For real gumbo, jambalaya, and étouffée, Mouton's is about 20 minutes east on 1431, just past Leander. Chef Ben Mouton grew up in South Louisiana, trained in New Orleans, and has been cooking the food he knows here in Cedar Park since 2012.
It's a straight shot east — easier than most things you'd drive into Austin for. And the bar pours late, so a Liberty Hill weeknight dinner doesn't have to feel rushed.
